Around here people pop over to Nuevo Progresso. It’s very safe. Stuff is cheap, dental work etc. And it’s all the 55+ winter Texans so if it’s safe for them it’s fine lol. They do say don’t cross anywhere else though.

I keep a current passport but have no plans to ever travel west or south of Texas or to most of the northern states.

I love Mexico and it's people, but like for many now, it's off limits for a number of reasons.

I let my passport expire.

I won't fly any longer due to tsa and it's bullies, plus airlines are so fouled up I can't bear the thought of being stuck somewhere...

It's also far more dangerous than when I used to go.
