On my way to Bowie TX...

Well one of my semi trucks broke down outside of Bowie TX.

Travel Centers of America mobile service charged me 650 bucks to do nothing but tell me I need a fuel pump...

I tell them okay how much...

(TA) "Uh we don't do that kind of service..."

?!?!?!?!? WTF.

So i keep looking and find another mobile service company about 90 miles out from where my driver is stranded.

They want more than 800 plus fuel to go and fix it...

So I say fack it and start loading up tools and buy the pump 180 dollars.

My Dad says fack it I'll come too.

My regular mechanic that works on my truck says fack it I'll come too...

So all three of us are currently on our way and passed midland about 40 minutes ago.

Might as well do it myself and have a mini vacation...sucks for my girlfriend though...because of valentines and $hit...

Dude that sucks...I drive and know it can suck to be stuck out there...blew a tire from San Antonio just 1/2 mile north of Johnson City and it took six hours to get a truck to my location from the closest service center

I feel bad for my driver man. No heat or anything since 2 AM last night

holy crap...I guess ur guys dont get generators...cant complain I dont haul over the road or overnight anymore...I like this a hell of alot more than sleeping in the Desert or Swamp for 4-6 weeks at a time with no A/C and only a breeze to turn up the heat

Yeah my guys don't. Im a small company. Oh and my guys are only out 5-6 days on the road and 2-3 days at home. .36 per mile.

Not a bad deal when everyone in El Paso pays .28 per mile and leaves driver out for a month at a time.

I keep my trucks running in tip top shape and this is the first time A truck has broke down on my in over a year.

$hit happens I guess.

Man, that is a bummer. I drove to Bowie today from Dallas. I could have taken him the pump.......but he'd have to have known how to change it.
