The operative part of that was "if."
I don't see myself moving out of Texas any time.
I thought maybe you just needed a little shove.
Like pushing a rope.
What the hell, just doing my part to help clear Texas out.
My late brother worked in the film industry, so I was out there often to visit... and yeah... Hollyweird is very much that... but that weirdness existed in other parts of CA too, like San Francisco and Santa Cruz to as much (or lager) degree.
That area in Nor Cal is amazing.. some of the best off-roading and motorcycling (on and off-road) I've seen in my lifetime. My wife's friends lost their home and business in the Camp Fire that leveled Paradise... they say 100 people (might be more) are still missing up there.
A couple of years ago we were living in the Santa Cruz mountains, and the Loma Prieta fire came within a mile of the house... I've never packed a little convertible with so much stuff... and had to bug out, so I can understand how those people felt trying to escape... Godspeed to those that didn't make it.
Thought you were going to say you were in Detroit.
Might be how this one started also, Scroll down to 2nd story.
Sure sounds like it!
Excuse me, but I'm not finding "someone left their handgun in their vehicle" anywhere on that . . .
While I agree we have to as Americans help every state out when in need, I believe it was CHP that abused this old lady in New Orleans. That was a pathetic show of force and disgusting IMO. Grant it, they had to deal with a whole lot of idiots down there, but to assume where all idiots is just bad. We sure learned a lot from Katrina and the mayor that put the order out is bad, but the military and officers that enforced it are just as bad. I will also point out a group of National Guard that refused that order and stayed true to their oath....Oath Keepers!
