    Out here by the lake!
Years back this guy I knew was getting married. The married boys decide they would go to the titty bar where one down on her luck girl the all knew was working. One of my best friends was part of this group & he asked if I was planning on going to Joes party.

I told him that I was not planning to go & he asked why? First I told about a girl I worked with who got fired & ended up dancing. A bunch of guys from work thought it be fun to see her dancing. I told them I had seen her naked before & then some. No sense in kicking someone who is down.

I seen most of these guys as punks. More then a few let their women decide shit for them. I was an outcast because of guns. I told my buddy they are all going to go act stupid then someone will get punked. The punked dude will spill on everyone else.

Sure enough just like I predicted. When all the girls got together they all wonder why only two of us didn't go. My wife pretty much told them I was just a lot smarter then their husbands. Needless to say those friends became acquaintance shortly there after.

Me & my buddy are still pretty tight. Joe's marriage didn't last very long, as did most of the others.

Strip clubs ain't no place for married men!

I only went one time to a strip club while I was married to my second ex-wife, and she knew I was going.

One of my friends I worked with, well he and I went after some of the other guys in the shop were telling us about this lady at the club had about $6000 worth of upper "enhancements" done and we went just to see what all the ruckus was about. Well me and my buddy "John" drove over there one evening. We stayed less than an hour, drank a couple of over-priced beers and checked her out. We weren't that impressed. Yeah, they were rather large, but not even worth the price of admission to get in the club!

I'm sure she had a great personality, because she really wasn't that great looking! When we got back my wife asked about our trip over there. I told it was actually a huge waste of money! We just laughed about it! That was about 1995 IIRC, and the last time I ever went to a strip club.

Sometimes they're not lying. I knew a young lady who loved her local bar in Ohio. Her most fervent dream was to own a place like that someday. The owner made some noise about retiring "in a couple of years". She scraped together a few thousand dollars and gave it to him for an option to buy. Then she left town, headed to Chatsworth, CA, and went into porn.

She was absolutely professional, stayed clean, worked hard, and paid her taxes. It took her just over a year to save up the $300K to buy the bar. She worked in the industry for 2 years or so to build up some operating capital. Then she zoomed out of Cali, back to Ohio, bought her favorite bar, and, years later, had made quite a success of it.

"Working my way through college" should always be taken with a large pinch of salt but sometimes it, or something similar, is absolutely true.
Back in the 1980s I contracted refurbishing mobile homes. From livable to custom.
They had a lady that wanted one of the homes they had but wanted it totally redone to custom. She was absolutely gorgeous and a total LADY. Polite, considerate and treated everyone like theyhad been best friends for life. Never saw her in anything more revealing than a typical housewife would wear. When they did the sales application she listed her monthly income at $20,000. A month. She worked for a VERY exclusive club downtown. No sex, just dance and talk. No dating and no touching.
Y'all don't want to know what she was offered for her and her son to travel a summer with a rich international business man just to be a bobble on his arm at parties.
I could have retired on it.

I hate spending money for no return. It's like casinos. First time I put $20 in the machine and got nothing back I was pissed. Been to 2 clubs. First time, I found a dime built to my liking. Gave her $200 that night. Driving home that night, I was pissed again, Lol. 2nd time was all nude. Much a do about nothing. Best I saw that night was 7 pennies. She got some ones from me. Came out ok that time. That was a sit and drink trip.

The several times ive been, ive only taken one back home with me to stay the night. She did bring 2 friends with her though. They had a raffle at the club that night & who ever won the raffle got 4 free dances from the girl of their choice. The girl that got picked, got to keep all the $$$. I picked a hot brunette... she reminds me of Shannon Elizabeth...from American Pie. She made like $800 off the raffle & didn't have to hustle for her money that night, so she & her friends hung out at my table. At the end of the night they all came over, the 2 hung out for a little bit, then left, me & the brunette went to the bedroom.

It's always funny to me that the ex wives are devils and the ex husbands were perfect angels just doing their best to make the most of a bad situation.

I'll bet if I told you about some of the things my first ex-wife did, you would rethink that assessment!

Let's see, there was the fact she was an alcoholic, who could drink several hundreds of dollars of booze every month. Or all the cheating she did on me, and her first ex-husband. I did actually catch her twice. The second time, was when I moved out. Or the gambling. I almost lost my brand new riding mower because she lost it playing poker. Or her forging my signature on checks from my business accounts.

I'm no perfect angel, and it was my first marriage, and I can look back, and yes, I made mistakes, but I never did the things she did.

I agree about air shows, but also love a good museum. They never let me touch them at the air shows.

Also, I've seen "Tarheel Hal" in flight at airshows. Now, when that specific aircraft is part of the flying display you generally can't touch it, but the others on static display are right there in the petting zoo. The pics above are of my daughter in the cockpit of a C-17 and an A-26.

Don't get me wrong, I love museums. But I'm not gonna miss an airshow if I have an opportunity to go.

I'd rather see them in the air. I love aircraft museums, too, but the museum can't replicate the sound of a Rolls Royce Merlin roaring as a P-51 flies by, or the organ-shaking feel of an F-15 turning its afterburners toward you. At an airshow they're more real - museum pieces are often just the hollowed-out husks of once-powerful airframes. At an airshow, you experience them rather than just looking at them.
Or that sound a Corsair makes. We went to Cannon last year for open house and the coolest flyby was a guy in a Mig15. The static displays were awesome though. I definitely want an AC-130. It would be great for hogs. And the C5A would hold all my wife's luggage for a weekend trip. Ok, ok, a C-130 then.

For an airshow, it would have to be The Blue Angels.

Before Clinton closed it down, I used to go to Castle AFB in CA. They had all sorts of planes, tanks and military vehicles that you could go through and an airshow that was great.

Once was enough---upside-down margaritas in Tijuana. NEVER again! Can't stand the smell of tequila. Also no more Copenhagen. In 7th grade, the cool kids on the baseball team would mix a -little whiskey or something in theirs. I was able to buy a can at the 7-11 and went home and put a bit of EJ Brandy in it. Had me a few dips and next thing, hugging the porcelain god. Can't stand the smell of it either.

Another thought........A couple of years ago, we got ride in a Ford Tri-Motor. The ride was so cool! Rides are fun!
Cool! Wife and I did that back in Spokane, WA a few years back. We took my son in law, who is a SWAT member in Idaho. He is out there watching the plane take off and return while we were in line. He turns to me and asks "Do they replace all the metal parts periodically?" Ha ha. "Only if they need it." He was pretty scared. He had not done a lot of flying. It was a great flight. That thing was built in the Golden Age of air travel and the interior was plush. What a day.

The Houston "Aquarium" - too expensive, too little to see, bad location, etc. I was not expecting a Monterey Bay Aquarium experience but this rates somewhere between the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota and downtown Broome, TX.

I ate @ the downtown Houston Aquarium once! I was doing jury duty & had an hour to kill plus it was walking distance. To make it even more special it was during spring break.

I ordered a hamburger because it was cheap by their pricing. Worse hamburger ever, and screaming kids running amok made it worse. Service sucked as bad or worse then everything else.
