As I was going through and organizing my safe earlier, I realized something, I don't have a one can do all pistol. I have SD/HD guns, and concealed carry pistols, and plinkin' pistols, and range toys, and just plain Fun guns. Just not an everything pistol.

So here's my question, if you had to choose one, and ONLY ONE, semi automatic for everything, what would it be? A pistol that can be used for home and self defense. A pistol that can be concealed for every day carry. A pistol that you can use for hiking, walking the back forty and hunting with. The same pistol can also be used as a range gun, a truck gun and a competition gun. And of course, a plinkin' gun.

    Hmmm, that's tough.

I think I'd have to go with my Walther PPQ 9mm.

About the only full size I have that could conceal somewhat easily, and light enough to be comfortable, with 15rnd mag capacity and rail for home defense.

This will be an interesting thread, for sure....

One semi-auto pistol for everything? Can't play golf with one club or fish with only one rod. I don't hunt with only one rifle.

Don't know if there is such a critter as a do all one gun semi-auto....

The Walther PPQ is a nice piece, for sure...

I didn't even notice the hunting part.

Could still work for small game. Can't think of many handguns that could run well from CC to hunting.

Doesn't the desert eagle come in .357 mag? I know there is a .44 mag version.
