Just had an idea, [probably retarded, and already been covered] why not a 1:6 twist or 1:6.5 twist for SBR length barrels

So again, why make a 10.5" 1:8 barrel if there's no application for it. Is it something to do with the blanks it's made from?
Thanks on the Voodoo information, I'll check them out!
7 twist is all that is needed to stabilize the regular weight 223 bullets. Anything faster and you lose velocity as it adds exponentially more friction. Plenty of people have shot 77gr bullets out of short barrels although I dont know why you would. Ive shot 75gr amaxs which have an extremely long bearing surface for its weight and they stabilize out of an 8 twist. I think the barrel twist rate is largely blown out of proportion. Personally I like 8 twist as they do everything I've needed.Just had an idea, [probably retarded, and already been covered] why not a 1:6 twist or 1:6.5twist for SBR length barrels
