I'm worried about my fellow TGTers...
... the kind of web surfing going on
... how do y'all find out about this kind of stuff? ... No! Nevermind. I don't want to know!
Back in the 1980's I worked in the Tenneco Building in downtown Houston. Back then there was very little security and anyone could walk in the building and go into most of the office areas. It wasn't uncommon for thieves to steal purses or computers. There were rumors of a theft or assault in a lady's restroom, so the company locked those doors and gave all the women keys to them. A secretary went to the bathroom and while fumbling through her purse, dropped one of those little, cheap .22 revolvers, like a North American brand. It hit the floor, butt first, and shot up through the toilet seat and into her derriere. People could hear her yelling for help, but it took a few minutes to find a woman with a key to open the door. They blocked access to the elevators while the EMTs hauled her out. If I remember correctly, she lost her job over that. They may have made a settlement with her, or let her transfer somewhere.
One of the guys I worked with there was related to some of the fellows that helped Frank Hammer kill Bonnie and Clyde. The story passed down from his relatives was that Bonnie had a revolver hidden inside her, probably assuming that the cops wouldn't look there. It was considered a very scandalous revelation at the time.
