4th page of the owners manual says 33 grain ammo is fine.

It then goes on to mention that 30 grain ammo may fail to cycle due to low chamber pressures particularly if you are shooting limp-wristedly.

No reason whatsoever to suspect that inadequately-pressured ammo should lead to catastrophic (relatively) case head failure!!!

Thanks for posting. I dug this info up recently when I was shopping for 22 Mag ammo.

My PMR doesn't like hollowpoint ammo....maybe I need to polish it up, but the max run so well, I don't want to stop using them. Burned through A LOT of lightweight ammo without issue out of ignorance.

The problem happened with the recommended 40g hp's.

The non-cycling of the 30g bullets was a side note.

Now I know the manual says never to use a suppressor because it may cause out of battery and case rupture due to increased back pressure, but what about the OSS suppressors that supposedly produce no increased back pressure? Anyone have one to try it out?
