Hey! I was trying to find a gun range to practice in shooting with my stepdad. I am not familiar with Texas nature, but I know that it has a couple of deserts, yes? So, I want to find some good outdoor gun range in desert. Maybe, close to El Paso. Can someone recommend me, please? I am not about total desert, of course, just with feeling of it, if you know what I mean. Also, it would be good if that gun range had a lot of space. I don`t love to shoot, when there are people very close to me.
So, I will be very grateful for advice.

By the way, I am new here and I was really surprised, that Texas is very privatized and you can`t just find place to shoot alone in cans or something, not in paper. I heard, that West is more open to that, yes?

You must be from West of the Rockies originally, yes? Texas is 97%, or so, privately owned land. We don't like government owning things 'round here. What you seek really doesn't exist publicly. You'll need to seek a commercial, pay range fee, gun range in the desert.

The El Paso guys are driving north, into New Mexico.
    Lots of BLM areas there.

Well, free places is only in my dreams, unfortunately.

But I am okay with some regular ranges, where I have to pay. The main thing and what I really want is a desert look and feel. I think, El Paso will be my best shot?
