P1 (p38) Should I get it?

Purely just a because purchase, I want a gun from my birth year. I found a P1 made in 1982. It has the thicker slide and hex bolt fixes. Price is fair. Should I get it? Any glaring issues I should look for?

Any suggestions?

I was thinking Browning Hi power, S&W 439/459, etc....

Damn, yo. Sad ass eyes. To be fair I did post an open invite in the gun range section. To also be fair, I went to another range. And to be fair again, I only brought one 1911, I would have felt inferior.

Just be very careful with loaded magazines and do not drop them. I dropped one by accident once and it would never feed right after that.
