Picked up a refurb Primary Arms MicroDot (MD-FBGII) for my Mossberg 590A1. Haven't shot with it yet but I'm liking it for a budget red dot. Shotgun also has a S&J Hardware tube extension & oversized safety.

For sub $550 I think it's an awesome set-up for HD.

Beautiful gun. If that Microdot doesn't work out for you (I have the same one on my AR and LOVE it), check out TruGlo. They have red dots specifically for shotguns.

    Robert_K,

It looks good. If it works for you that is all that matters. I I could never warm up to a red dot or any optic on a shotgun though. It blocks your field of view as you lead a clay or bird. You should NOT be looking at your sight anyway. If the shotgun FITS you, just mount it correctly and it will point wherever you are looking.

    Thanks kindly,
    GUNNER51

No clays or birds for either of these shotguns. These are both for defensive purposes.
