I found a 1911 for sale today. Black with box of .45 and hogue grips. I'm not familiar with this gun. Wondering if y'all think its worth $450. I don't need it but, in todays market it could go in the safe for a rainy day.

I had the stainless steel model and it was a great shooter. I wouldn't hesitate for $450 plus it's way better than a Taurus.

Seriously, I have a Pro Custom 14.45 and it's not been completely reliable but at $450, I'd go for the GI.

The only 1911 I've ever had or shot is my Kimber ultra. It's OK for what it is.

Just be cautious and diligent. If it sounds too good to be true, it might be. And this sounds TGTBT. I hope it's not, and good luck with the purchase.

No BOS? You must be crazy! That's the only way to prove a legal transaction.

And make sure you go through a FFL so it is thoroughly documented; you don’t want to leave the government out of the loop.
