I'd like to shoot one sometime. They do seem pretty neat. They are pretty close in power to a .45acp. I'd like to see someone blend one of those full auto BB guns and these big caliber PCP rifles together, lol...

Oh... Google the Lewis and Clark air rifle. These things aint new ;)

Yeah, saw the L&C one but didn't realize they're making them now.

I looked at them and they would be a great SHTF hunting rifle. Quiet. No powder needed.

The problem is that they're pretty damn expensive for a BB gun.

Yeah they are expensive, but just think of the money you'll save on ammo. All you need is a bicycle pump and some junk lead to make bullets

This is kinda true. But the pumps aren't regular bike pumps, they go to 5,000psi and are $200.

I watched some of the hunting videos and they're taking big game. Granted to you have to be in close, but that's how I've always hunted anyhow. Stalking and rattling. If you're shooting game more than a couple hundred yards in Texas you're not a very good hunter, just a good shooter.

Still super intrigued. Anyone here have one of these?

Pumps are multi stage IIRC. Pricey too.

I would have one, but they are a little steep in price when you consider the pump. Plus, they are a good bit louder than my springer. I sure wouldn't mind having a 9mm PCP, though.

I keep wondering if the smaller calibers are a good alternative to a suppressed .22LR.

It looks almost the same price after its said and done though.

I'd hate to stop in the middle of a "tactical" .22 fight to pump up my gun. I'm sure the squirrels won't mind though.

It depends on the gun. Some are only good for 3 or 4 shots per charge, other can get over 30 shots. More shots usually means less velocity, however. That or a huge ass tank, lol...
