Pennsylvania CHL Application

As the Utah Concealed Handgun debate is still warming up adding this may be caustic but it is possible to get a Pennsylvania CHL with repercosity to TX for little bother or $$ if you have an existing TX CHL.

1. A photo copy of a license to carry a firearm (concealed carry permit) from your home state if that state has a concealed carry law.
2. A photo copy of your Driver's License.
3. A self addressed stamped envelope.
4. $26.00 fee for five year license and out of state processing. (Check/money order made out to Centre County Sheriff.)

At least that one requires that you have a permit in your HOME STATE. I see nothing wrong with that.

Ya, I thought it a good option for those that worry about the TX state CHL one having an unexpected and long renewal time. The Utah one is $$ and more time in comparison.

Since I'll be traveling to WV to visit relatives and WV doesn't reciprocate with TX I got a PA non-resident license that WV honors. Best deal going if you're headed that way.

Yeah - but from first glance, looks like WV is the only state that having the PA license would add...

Virginia and a few other states offer a similar deal. If you have a valid permit in your home state, you get one in that state by filling out the paperwork and paying the fee.
