    Ok, here's my personal experience where I just about lost it:

    About 4 months ago, we were at a Gifted and Talented presentation with my son (in 4th grade). There's a child sitting about 10 feet in front of him that I can't tell if it's a boy or a girl, since I heard both "him" and "her" used about the child.
    After we got home, I asked my son: "was that kid sitting in front of you a boy or a girl?
    He replied, "Both, he's bi-sexual". Reminder for all: This is in the FOURTH GRADE!!!!
