Can you imagine being a police officer and being told to stand down?!?
    Just observe and report?!?
    What are the Demorats thinking?!?
Anytime a justifiable shooting happens now, we have racist lawyers that jump on the living family members left, and stir the pot.
Demorats must be thinking, "Well, let them riot, and pillage their own neighborhoods, and destroy their own businesses!" After it's all over, we'll go in and push the "bad" element out and replace with white business owners.
I can't imagine that they wouldn't send in police, or National Guard, and help the stores out, and the self owned business owners to stop all of this.
I haven't in my lifetime seen such wonton disobedience, and people raising their children to disobey lawful police orders. The police are not the enemy here. It's the Socialist politicians that are dredging up this hatred, and disobedience.
When is enough going to be enough?!?

maybe we should drive to Philly and help ourselves to a new tv or whatever else we would like to have for the house

we could cheaply get all of our Christmas shopping done without emptying the checking account

business owners have to be seriously upset about this

Not to mention folks who need to shop at a store closed due to looting.

Well, you have the Philly mom wanting to know why her son wasn't tazed when approaching police with deadly force. Only makes sense to not have police involved with the looting since it would incite violence. They aren't hurting anyone - insurance covers those business costs.

Now did I say that with a straight face?

I am curious as to how the person who gave these orders were to have their business or home looted or burned and worse yet a family member injured or killed, what would be their new order if they themselves were the victim

That train of thought never enters into it. They consider the looters to be the "victims", and the business owners are seen as unfeeling mega corporations with magical insurance that covers everything - not mom and pop shop owners who'll be ruined, and no thought is given to their employees or the people who depend on those businesses.

And on those rare occasions when the decision makers are actually targeted by the rioters and looters, suddenly the police are ordered to protect their property and make arrests. As seen in Seattle and Portland when the mobs turned on their patrons in local government.

not all small businesses have insurance and for those that do, the deductibles are extremely high, I work for a large company and in order to keep premiums affordable, our deductible on theft / vandalism is $25,000, our deductible on company vehicles is $5000
so with deductibles like that, it could drive a small business into bankruptcy real quick

GZ is right. That is probably a huge part of the problem, is they don't think that there are consequences for such decisions. The mayor of Chicago, well she was complicit in the demonstrations, the rioting and the looting, until it came into HER neighborhood, then she had a change of attitude! Hmmm.....gee, imagine that!
