I'm watching the show "Money Heist" on Netflix and one of the guys is carrying a pistol I can't ID. I want to say I've seen these in the 90's maybe. It kind of looks like a HK VP70 and the safety looks to be on the front of the trigger guard like a mini 14 safety.
    Anyone here know?

This is driving me crazy trying to figure it out. It could be a fake prop gun but it looks familiar to me. Here's a picture of the pistol.

I think more CP-1s got used in movies than got shot. The pistol was nothing special but it had that zoomy sci-fi look. It's in a lot of movies and TV shows. The Internet Movie Firearms Data Base only lists it 3 times but I know I've seen it many more times than that. Either that database is nowhere near comprehensive or my memory is going.

    Now, where are my keys...?
