Lufkin Pizza Delivery Man Shoots, Fends Off Robbers
LUFKIN (AP) -- Two would be robbers in Lufkin got an unexpected delivery from a pizza guy.

He shot at them.

Lufkin police say one of the alleged robbers was hospitalized after getting shot in the back.

The Papa John's pizza delivery man, who's licensed to carry a handgun, wasn't hurt.

The shooting happened Tuesday night, after the delivery man walked up to a house and rang a doorbell. It turned out the structure was vacant and two gunmen approached him from the side.

Police say 18-year-old Johnx R. Greer was arrested at a hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound. He's been charged with aggravated robbery. Bond is $100,000.

An attorney for Greer didn't immediately comment.

The other suspect hasn't been found.

Police don't expect to charge the delivery man.

They got the extra toppings double tap special. You will never hear about that on CNN. Glad he had protection.
