OMG I love this thing. Is that grip hard attached? I have a Garand that has been asking for a mate just like this. Granted mine is a used Springfield with a darker somewhat used/pitted wood finish but still. These two would get along nicely.

Not for sure - it's obviously fastened in some fashion....I would guess that it's bolted in from the underside of the stock.
