Our neighborhood is having a planned power outage as CoServ is replacing a transformer. How long does it take the electric utility to change one of these out and have power back on?

Middle of the night, behind my garage, with a small crane necessary to lift both old and new into place, took about three hours.

If it's easily accessible, probably less.

The planned time is between 9am to 11am so I am guessing less than two by their count. Just curius. Seems like it is going to get stuffy in the house for a few hours so I plan to go work somewhere else.

Had a transformer explode last month across the street in my neighbors backyard. After the fire department put the fire out and the electric company arrived on-site, we had power restored in about 2.5 hours.
