Please read: I've lived through what they propose for Texas re: "Blue" transformation

Why Texans Should Care About What Happens to California Gun Owners | Uncle Thomas

Being a native Californian and having witnessed what a shit hole the state became after we got too many Democratic immigrants, I can tell you that we need to preserve Texas as a 2A-friendly state.

They're lining us up in their sights: Democrats launch plan to turn Texas blue - Alexander Burns - POLITICO.com

Everyone needs to get busy, somehow, someway, to keep Texas as it was meant to be. Perhaps at the next show we could meet up and discuss some grass roots organizing to help in this regard. I'm certainly interested in it. If you are, send me a PM.

    Thanks,

    Dave

One avenue that seems promising is this site:

    FreedomConnector

A major problem for organizing is getting in contact with like-minded people. From what I have seen, this site (and I am sure there are others like it) help greatly in this regard.

I actively fight the encroaching blue everyday. I can definitely see that we are in serious danger of losing important, hard won ground. Our very way of life is at stake. I'm very busy in my own backyard but count me in as someone who can be consulted on grass roots organization and tactics. Feel free to shoot me a PM anytime you wanna discuss.

Also, your thread title is very vague and will automatically piss some members off. I recommend it be changed to better suit the topic.

You also give no information about yourself. Are you still in CA? If so what are you doing to help make a change there?

I noticed in your second post you provided a link to a website; what is your affiliation, if any, to said website?

We're a pretty trusting group here but if you start off smelling like a rat it's gonna take some work to get that smell off of you.

Not calling you a rat. Just asking what others are thinking.

    Thanks for the reply.

To clarify: my family and I have relocated to Texas permanently. While I was back in CA, I was actively involved in Calguns for several years trying to increase public awareness of firearms and get people who had never shot before to the range.

As to the website, I am not shilling for it. I merely recommend it as a means of establishing connections with people interested in preventing what we went through in CA (and later in NY with the "SAFE Act").

I love the hypocrisy of Jeremy Bird, the former national field director for Obama’s reelection campaign, who with big money from Libs across the country will start “a grass-roots organization” here in Texas.

It definitely is bothering me how many New Yorkers and Californians are moving here. I sure have no problem with the freedom loving folks that want to escape those places for greener pastures, but most people leaving those states are following the money. They move to a state like California, vote liberal, win, and then watch the state completely fall apart and go bankrupt in just a few years. Then, when the resources are completely consumed they go "Hey, let's go to Texas. They have money, and we'll just vote liberal to make things feel more like home," which they are trying to do. And if successful, they will witness Texas crash the same way California did. Yay!

Seriously, if I see one more "Wendy Davis 2014" sticker I may scream.

They are parasites pure and simple.

I don't think you have a grasp on the issue.

"They" are not typically parasites. In fact, they probably make more money that you do.

The parasites are actually the illegal aliens and criminal minority groups whose influx they use to electorally destroy the country.

In order to defeat the left, you have to understand how they work. The early leftists came from Europe to NYC and such. California used to be a very conservative state until it was overrun by leftists. While there are many shitbags coming from NY and CA, be careful not to overlook the possibility that there are a considerable number of new Texans who know as much or more than you do about the issues we now collectively face.

For a long time, Texas has been a "free" state. You're going to need our help to keep it that way.

TXARGUY, I await a response to the PM I sent at your request.

Yuppies are only part of the problem. In my opinion a greater threat to our liberties are the vast pool of poorly Americanized, first generation Hispanics, both legal and illegal. Now, before my antagonists purposely misconstrue that comment to jump my shit, Yo quiero me amigos Mexicano y la espousa de me primo es Mexicana! Back to topic: I worked in construction here in Texas for 10 years from 2001 to 2010, got to meet MANY Hispanics and befriended some. Through no fault of their own, they know virtually nothing of the U.S. Constitution, how it came to be, and it's importance in maintaining a free society. Their overarching motivation was to better themselves financially and unfortunately they perceive the Democrats as the party to achieve that goal. Fortunately Hispanics are traditionally a conservative people and after some "seasoning" can be enticed to vote Republican....some I know do vote that way. It will take some time, but hopefully when the worst of Democrat legislation starts hitting them in the pocket-book, they'll abandon the Democratic Party....hopefully.
