Plinking ranges?

I am sure this has been covered at some point but I did not find any posts. Are there any ranges in the North Texas area that allow plinking?

When I was a kid living in Illinois there was a great place to go plinking which was at an old quarry but I have never found anything in Texas aside from someones private property.

Being fairly new to the DFW area myself, it appears there isn't really any areas to go plinking like a rock quarry (it would be sweet if there was such a place near by). We've been able to find indoor ranges, but nothing like a desert, public land, etc, etc.
