The PF9 is reputedly the smallest 9mm pistol on the market.
I think it's the lightest, but the P938 is noticeably smaller. The Nano is slightly smaller.

For your edification, here is a side by side comparison of some of the smallest 9mm handguns on the market: Sig P938, S&W Shield, Beretta Nano, Keltec PF9, and Taurus PT709.

A couple notes on trigger pull; here's where it gets a bit subjective.
-The 938 is the most unpleasant... It's the heaviest pull and has sharp edges.
-The PF9 has the longest pull and reset.
-The Nano can be best described as Glock-ish.
-The Shield has the nicest out of box trigger of this sample.
-The PT709 is a bit odd... In double action it is very consistent at 6.5lbs, however you would never really use it in double action. The weird part is that the pull is heavier and not as consistent in single action. Not sure what to make of that one; perhaps it will get better as it wears in.

-The PT709 has not gotten any better. :p The trigger on it just feels weird and crappy to me.
-I got the P938 to 6.5lbs with very little effort. It's is my favorite now.

Just for giggles, here's the P938 and Shield compared to a real pocket pistol; a Beretta Tomcat...

...and compared against a not at all pocket sized, yet still compact officer 1911.

Here's a PM9 sandwiched between a Shield and P938. You PM9 fans can thank coachrick!

I have carried lcp, LC9 ànd p f 9 alternately in the front pants pocket of jeans for years. I prefer the LC9 because I can shoot it as accurately as a full size 9. Naturally the pocket can't have anything else in it.

Stay away from the double tap . 45acp, my hand was tender after just one round. Glad I am not the owner.

    Korth Sky Marshal 9mm?
Yeah, I think so. IIRC, now that Nighthawk is the importer, there has been a name change and some minor cosmetic changes...mostly an egregiously large and ugly Nighthawk logo. :)

ETA: The above was posted from memory. I truly believe I looked at the Nighthawk web site before I posted and could find nothing on the revolver. Well, it's on their web site now. The news is good and bad. It's good that they've lost all those rails. I'm neutral to the name change to Sky Hawk; it's just not important. It's bad the way Nighthawk screws up the look of the piece with their massive logo. (At least I remembered that right.) And it's bad that I can't afford one; MSRP is ~$1700.

Ruger LC9S and Kahr CM9 are the pocket 9s I carry. I have toyed with the idea of sending my 340PD out to get cut for moon clips and chambered for 9mm.

Still have not decided. Leaning towards sig 938. May get to shoot a friend's 938 this afternoon.
I'm not a huge SIG fan but have a 938 (what they call the Combat Micro Compact version) and 232 and both are favorites. FWIW, I carry an Ed Brown Special Forces most the time and the 938 has a quasi 1911 operation so it feels natural to me. It even carries easily in a Galco ankle holster for those times when pocket carry isn't feasible like dress pants. I'm still trying to find its favorite round. Some are all over the target but I know I'll find, the one, soon.

Try the Springfield armory 3.3 xds 9mm. Small enough to pocket carry if you wear cargo shorts

I own an XDS 3.3 9mm and it's around 30oz loaded which seems a bit heavy for pocket carry. I carry a Kahr CM9 in my pocket which is much lighter and it shoots/feels like the XDS.
