Unfortunatley, I did not get on here in time to remind everyone, but I wanted everyone to know that May 15th was National Police Officer Memorial Day. Most PDs had flew flags a half staff. If you have a chance and know someone who lost a loved one in the line of duty, I am sure they would appreciate a kind word....

I never knew that existed, my dad was a police officer from brownsville,tx, who died here in austin in 1988.

National Police Week is every year, by Congressional Proclamation (from 1962 I believe) it is always the week that surrounds the 15th, as the 15th is Police Memorial Day. There are alot of events every year at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in D.C. You can check out their site at NLEOMF.org
