I was reading an article about refurbishing a carry revolver and the author said that he used this thing in the photo to polish the rough surfaces inside the frame where the fire control parts have contact. He said that he finds these things from the beauty department of your local store and that they work very well for polishing up hard to reach spaces.

Anyone know what this stick thing is?

Rubber stones for polishing commutators work well. They come in many grits, the fine ones work great for polishing out machining marks and small rust spots
