I really think that our government truly underestimated us. They may get away with this shit in some cities but try it in rural areas.

While I may not own a 50 BMG, I am pretty decent with .308 Win and 5.56 X 45. I may not be able to reach out as far with a lever gun, but something big bore like 45-70 would be demoralizing, the Marlin 1895CB packs a punch. A few years ago, I was at a friend's acreage, his dad had an old junk pile on the place. We found one of the old school cast iron kitchen sinks with the double basin, that cast iron is about 3/8 inch in thickness. At 50 yards three thicknesses were completely penetrated, and a large dimple was left on the fourth. I realize cast iron is more "brittle" than steel, but damn that sure would hurt hitting body armor. The round was the Hornady Leverloution <SP>.
