    I would have preferred Barbara Lagoa.

    I don't know, I believe she will be much like Antonin Scalia. When I first heard that she was a possible Ginsberg replacement I researched her, and this video was one I watched:


    That was also before she became a judge.

    She might be the PERFECT replacement BUT...............
    If she is not confirmed...... we will never know.
    I read that both Murkowski and Collins were NOT voting to confirm.
    The Miami Cuban ( Barbara Lagoa ) might have a better chance with some Dems and RINOs.

    Neither Collins nor Murkowski have said they would vote no.

    Neither wanted the confirmation before the election. Murkowski has stated she will consider the candidate anyhow.

    The problem with Lagoa was there was so little to judge (pun intended) her by. We don't want another Souter, Kennedy or Roberts.

    Barrett has more of a track record and believes (as her track record shows) in originalism and textualism. The latter is good enough for me.
