Pond fishing 2/27

Hit the the pond in the neighborhood for a few minutes this evening. Had 4 bites & eneded up with these 2 fat bottom girls. The spawn is on with the bellies these 2 had. Lure of the day was a 1/8 oz. Chartreuse roadrunner with black body & chartreuse tail.

You can really tell the differnce in the color & the fins on those two fish, that the top one is a white crappie & the bottom is a black crappie...nature's way of being the same but different.

Thank you, I've been fishing since I was 3. I was fortunate enough to grow up near a lake so I was always fishing as a kid. I was always amazed at being able to trick a fish into eating a fake lure vs live bait.
