When Ms Virginia had the Ponderosa the bbq was great, but the folks who own it now are making some awesome bbq. Friday and Saturday are ribs days and I want you to know they are the best I've ever had and I've been to Lockhart.

Just below the panhandle of Texas
    That's good news!
For quite a while I would deliver the mail from Lubbock to all of the stations leading up to and including Spur. On the way back in the afternoon I would sometimes have to pick up some mail from the Dickens post office. I'd stop by the Ponderosa for their chopped BBQ sandwich. It was wonderful then, so I'll have to make the trip to try their menu again. Thanks for the heads up.

I've done the Spur run twice in the last month, but not the afternoon portion that would take me through Dickens and McAdoo.

I can vouch for that. We travel back and forth between the metroplex and Lubbock... we always try to stop there for BBQ... you might say it's been a "tradition" for a whole bunch of years.
