I am thinking of doing a gun swap with a friend of mine. He wants my Springfield "Loaded" and he is offering me his unfired (N.I.B.) OD green CZ 75 P-01 and some cash for my 1911.
I have two other CZ P-01s, so I may want to sell this OD green P-01 if we do the deal.

For those not familiar with the OD green CZ P-01. Years ago a large distributor approached CZ to produce a limited production run of 200 OD green P-01s for them. This was supposed to be a one time 200 gun production run. It was so popular that the distributor had CZ build them 200 more for the next three years. There were only 800 built.
CZ made gray guns for the following production runs.
I understand CZ is making green P-01s again, but the green is much darker than the original OD guns. I am allowing him $500 for his P-01 in the trade. I would expect to get that if I put it up for sale.
I post this to see what kind of interest there might be out there for this pistol.
The deal has not been finalized, so this may be a moot point anyway.
    Thanks for looking.

    The OD green poly coat?
That would make a great match to my OD green 75.

Yes, it has the OD green poly-coat finish.

I contacted CZ this morning and they verified that only 800 OD green P-01s were built.
The customer service guy told me people "customize" P-01s by painting them themselves. I was there when this pistol was bought new. I bought one and my friend liked it so much he had to buy one too.
This one is all original with box and factory paperwork.

The swap may not happen due to other circumstances.
In 1999 I ordered a 1999 Harley FXST Softail. Before I picked it up from the dealer I had a lot of extras added to make it unique and what I wanted. In 2007 I sold the Softail to a friend of a friend of mine. The second owner is having health issues and has decided he wants to sell the Softail. My friend (with the CZ) and I rode together for many years, so he approached me to buy the bike back. I was very tempted, but I am also 72 years old. Things don't work like they used to years ago. I think my friend offered me the P-01 in hopes I would buy the bike. Last night I told the current owner that I was going to pass on buying the bike.
I emailed my friend with the CZ a few minutes ago and he hasn't responded. He is probably mad at me for not making the purchase.
If the situation gets resolved I will confirm the sale potential.
If you are not familiar with the P-01 you are missing out. It is an all metal (steel slide/aluminum frame) 9mm compact with a tactical rail, night sights, grooved front strap and top of the slide, and ribber grip panels.
Comfortable to hold and fun to shoot.

I really like the P-01. I had a change to buy a green one a while back but missed out. I think my wife would hurt me if I tried buying another one any time soon even though she claimed the first one I bought.

Dont trade your 1911. Dont ever trade any of your guns, or sell any. Just buy the P-01

I am 72 years old. My gun collection is out of control. I am not even sure how many I own these days.
I am not married to any of the firearms I own. My collection is always in a state of transition. I sell or trade off a few and buy more. I have been buying and selling firearms for over 30 years. I have the process down pat.
Attached is part my 1911 collection. This photo was taken a couple of years ago. I have added to it since then.

Looks like the trade is off and so was the interest in buying the OD green P-01.
    Sorry for the interruption.
