    After you upload your photo to a hosting site, there will be a few different lines of code for various types of posting. Copy the one that has [img ] at the beginning.

    The pictures are on my own site. Does someone have an example of the <img> or whatever tag(s)[/QUOTE]

    Just put [IMG] tags around the URL to your image

    Like so:
    [code][noparse][ATTACH=full]57174[/ATTACH][/noparse][/code]

    which gets you this:
    [ATTACH=full]57175[/ATTACH]

    Code:
    [noparse]I used [img]http://www.....[/img] and the location becomes a link. Is there a setting I've forgotten to be able to display pictures?[/noparse]

    You didn't paste a link to anything. That's why nothing showed up. The tag usage is fine there.

    See [url=http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/video-how-tos-tutorials/14583-posting-pictures.html#post254126]post #13[/url] for a reference.

    I was showing an example... I got it figured out... I was editing and re-editing the post... my first attempt was wrong and the url was converted to a link... the addition of the img tags didn't "unconvert" it... final format was right, but the content was wrong... thanks for the help.
