Most "peppers" sound like asshats. I cannot help think about those people on that show. Especially the idiot from Houston.

I believe that the OP is asking about real Texans talking about real life.

I am all for it. Texans are a unique people that have vast knowledge. I would love to read and see what other Texans do to prepare.

I think some are picturing threads on super secret zombie bunkers while others are thinking how to preserve vegetables and keep warm till the lights come back on.

Im for discussing which water filter is best. Im not for discussing if 9 or 40 is better for killing zombies. We all know 9 is better anyways.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

ESP for zombies, it's gotta be a head shot so it comes down to mag capacity. Maybe one of then 22 mag pistols with a 30rnd mag, whatever they were called. But after that 9mm definitely take the lead.

"Preparing for disaster is about adventure and recreation, not about storing buckets of water and wheat. This is about being a leader. Shooting, moving and communicating. Developing essential life skills in fitness, navigation, hunting, gadgets and more. Living life after work is the purpose. Being prepared is the result.

    DISASTERS ARE OPTIONAL
The chances of any of us ending up in a survival situation are slim to none. Oh boy... yep, sorry "Preppers," the odds are just not in your favor, but don't dump out all of your rice just yet. I've no need to cite any statistics to back my claim, I'll only ask that you reflect on the last 20-40 years of your life. How many times have you had to "get out of dodge" and survive?" That's all I need if I lose power and water for a week. Great.

I like it. Rain water collection was an idea I got from a "prepper" site. It saves money in watering the garden and flower beds. Dehydrating food has lightened my camping load. Everyone says better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. Learned a lot about edible, nutritional, and medicinal plants. Just an interesting subject. I skip the Class III/NSA section because I have no interest in the subject. If you don't like the prepper section, skip it. And, by the way, of 21,788 members, only a mere handful will truly care either way.

A question was asked, an answer was given. That is all that is going on here.

LOL. That's why I typed in the "comment" box. I bet when that 9vs45 question pops up and people explain the virtues of their favorite round you go bat crap crazy and have to say "either 9 or 45. That is all thats going on here"
