So, my GF picked up a prescription just now from Walmart pharmacy.
Supposed to be 30, only 10 in the bottle.
She was pretty irate, and called to ask about it.
After a very brief conversation they put her on hold.
About 15 minutes later they come back to the phone, they said that they had reviewed the video of the bottle filling, they said she was correct.
She's on the way up there to get the rest.

I wonder how often that happens.

Eh, as long as you’re taken care of cam. You would think reading, counting, and being careful about someone’s health would be a persons priority in that job.

Maybe try a Walgreens. I hate Walmart. I mean when I lived in a smaller town it was doable. It had a huge parking lot for people like me that didn’t wanna park next to others. Lol. Got in and out of the lot easy. I can’t do that in Bedford. The parking lot is so small and the people are so retarded. Sorry...went off on a rant.

Try something other than Wal-Mart. Their stupid. They hire stupid people.

I get my prescriptions filled at Walgreens.
I think it's the busiest pharmacy anywhere, lol.

A few years back my local mom & pop pharmacy basically posted a notice - you walk out the door...it's yours! They said people would come back claiming they were shorted on pain killers. So I just developed a habit of verifying my script and eyeballing the quantity by ripping open the bag at the counter. I've moved and the habit has carried forward. But the guys at Walgreens always look at me strangely when I do this now.

Everyone seems to think he's over prescribed.
I don't know what you mean by that. I just meant to say that I'm perfectly willing to cut a pharmacy a break if they're short for most drugs. I know I can pick up a half order now and a half order in a few days.

However, I had a pharmacist who was low on morphine fill a half order for my sister and tell me to come back when they had restocked. When I went back, the same pharmacist put on his feigned shocked face and told me that Schedule 2 drugs could not be split into separate orders. I was stuck with half the month's supply for my sister and there was simply no way to fix the problem.

That was many years ago and it was a hard lesson to learn. Like dsgrey, I'm not averse to counting them at the counter, now. Also, if I were to see someone fall for that scam these days, I know a couple of Diversion Investigators I could call; that wasn't the case back then.

So I repeat: Never let a pharmacy try to split your order for Schedule 2 drugs. Never. Take the script back in hand and take it somewhere else.
