I'm just about to order an AR lower parts kit from CMMG, but instead of the standard AR grip I'm having them send it with a Magpul MIAD. They are asking $115 for it. Not wanting to completely dive head first into an empty pool with my AR build, is this a pretty good deal? The standard AR grip has the price at $65, which seems to be standard.

Not sure where you are looking, but aimsurplus.com has the CMMG parts kit with the standard grip for 63.60, and a MIAD for 43.65 for a total of 107.25 with .01 shipping on each item. So the price you found appears to be pretty competitive. You can always keep the spare grip for another build.

Midway is out of DPMS LPKs, but looks like they have Olympic LPK for $67 and I don't see a MIAD for over $34.10 so I don't know if there is a missing model or not, their shipping is VERY fast and reasonably priced...
