I'm thinking about buying a used AR. His listing price seems a bit high, so I'd like a second opinion if anyone is up to it.

    Spikes Tactical AR-15 Carbine length
-Lower Receiver, marked SBR in the serial, will use same serial if converted to SBR
    -Lower Parts Kit
    -Heavy buffer
    -Troy rear sight
-1 point tactical slingmount by Midwest Ind.
    -MOE Carbine length hand guards
    -B5 SOPMOD stock
    -MOE Foregrip
    -2 GI Mags
    -Properly Stacked Daniel Defense BCG

700ish is fair. Fyi the sbr in spikes has nothing to do with an nfa sbr. It stands for Spikes Battle Rifle.

Good info on the SBR, thanks. Guy is asking 1200, I was thinking about 9. I have a Sig P220 with some extras that I was going to try to trade if he'd e-mail me back.

$650-$750 depending on the round count on the rifle. I did not see in your thread, he has a few mags on it a bit more, if he has run 2K rounds on that barrel/BCG then much less.

The B5 stock and Troy rear sight are nice additions, but otherwise it is fairly stock.

Aside from his word is it a DD marked BCG? Also why a DD BCG in a Spikes rifle? It would have come with a Spikes standard BCG if it was a Spikes built rifle, so I would ask more specifics -Who built the upper? the lower? stuff like that.

Edited to add- holy hell $1200? Spikes brand new out of the box guns are less than that (and still outrageous in my opinion). Go buy and spec out exactly what you want and still save money. You could build a VERY nice AR will all top end parts for less than $1200 any day of the week.

I'm having a hell of a time finding the parts that I want. I actually have a complete lower minus the stock. Looking do to an SBR 10.5-11.5ish, I'll assemble it as a pistol until I have a tax stamp in hand. Looking for chrome-lined, forward assist, flat top, quad rail and can't seem to find any in-stock for under a grand.

I ain't going to lie, Rguns isn't the quickest vendor out there and you will wait, but the price usually make up for it and they make good stuff.
