since Remington is one of only 4 manufacturers in the United States, with them in bankruptcy, I was curious if that was contributing to the primer and ammunition shortage, so I found the following article on line:

300 workers have been on furlough and plant only operating at 10% capacity during the bankruptcy

Vista closed on the deal in mid October, so as they take over the Remington ammo, maybe this will provide at least some relief in the current shortage as Vista gets things rolling at full capacity at Remington

    From the article.

Metz said that Vista’s ammunition plants in Anoka and Lewiston, Idaho, are operating at full steam while it tries to fill a year’s worth of ammunition back orders worth $1 billion.
“All the data we’ve seen says that this is a long-term trend,” Metz said.

IMO primers, bullets & powder are going to be worth more than gold.

if you read the article a little closer, you see that he stated that Metz stated the Anoka and Lewiston plants were operating at full steam, the Lonoke plant was down to less than 400 employee's and they are in the process of bringing back at least 300 more employees to get the Ark plant at 100%

I would guess it will take a while for that ammo to hit the shelves. But good news for sure.
