How does a Republican kill a 2A bill that he doesn't like without being called a traitor? Easy, put a liberal democrat in charge and call it bipartisanship and then when it never gets introduced you can still claim to be pro 2A.
Voting for a libertarian may have cost Trump the election, who knows. The only way to change the system is to run for office or find some fresh blood to run, win the vote and stick to your guns. The democrats though eventually will turn Texas Blue too. The question is when. Civility does not work anymore.

Had we tossed them years ago when we first got CC shot down, Little would have changed since Abbott could have blocked anything bad and not likely enough could override veto.

This is exactly what Strauss was doing. He did not want CC, so he made sure a Dem was on the Committee it was assigned to.

Well since we republicans rule the majority and abbot is governor, he has already stated he will veto all anti gun bills.
I would find it hard to believe that no pro gun bills go through or the democrats may find not a single bill of theirs will pass.

Should this shortsighted attempt at “teaching them a lesson” or whatever it is succeed, let me know how you feel while we get crushed under a leftist wave of CA style Covid lockdowns, state income tax, higher taxes everywhere else, extra taxes on vehicles that don’t have high enough fuel mileage, new emissions requirements, ammo taxes, massive welfare increases, etc, etc.


And then think about how much of this BS is ever repealed once it’s passed, regardless of who gets control later.

There is not a snowball's chance of getting term limits, any time, any where, never gonna happen, in Texas or federal. Not even worth spending the oxygen to discuss it !
