    Still looking for these parts:

(If anyone sees any of the chrome or TiN parts available anywhere, local or online please let me know, Thanks!)

    Chrome or TiN hammer
    Chrome or TiN selector

    Complete upper with barrel
    KNS Hooded duplex front sight

I may order an upgraded Model 1 Sales complete kit and use some of the parts I have already collected and then sale or save the remaining parts.

I will try to keep this updated as I get stuff just for kicks...

Just dropping in with an update on the AR parts gathering... Midway order placed tonight!!! They had some other stuff instock but others were out that were in the same category so I stopped ordering at $40 tonight. I am working some OT and hopefully my second job this week a little so maybe next week I can order more stuff.

    MattDtactical has LPK's in stock.

Midway says they do too for about $59, but since I want a lot of chrome parts, have a pistol grip already, and I already have all the KNS pins (take down, pivot, non-rotating trigger pins)

I really didn't want a whole LPK that I wouldn't be using most of the parts so I ordered all the smal parts separately, unless I missed any?

Decked out with all the KNS parts yet your rockin' UTG grip/guard/stock? Come on bro, you can put on some better furniture than that. Who is gonna believe you're special forces with UTG gear?

I have a KNS takedown pin on one of my guns because I have to, not cause I want to. Having to compress the pall spring post while applying more force to the opposite side is a pain and combersome compared to just pushing out the stock one.

I'm not special anything... and why would you let a mark get close enough to see it?

Don't forget the chrome... The stock may have been a mistake, but those parts were all I seemed to see that day at the gunshow, I also bought them before knowing what these parts would normally cost. I may not use them, but I have them if it will help me get this thing completed sooner.

Also keep in mind the SKS that I have had since 1992 has never been fired, nor the other SKS that I just sold my Dad, nor the shotgun I have. Notice a pattern? I just wanted something that looks cool and wanted the foundation to be great quality parts, the other stuff could be upgraded if I don't end up liking it.

    Good thinking.

There is a ton of info out there on lower assembly, ranging from tacked thread on ar15.com to downloadable Brownell's videos. The best ones I've found are by a guy on youtube. His camera is zoomed in on the lower and he is very clear. I can't look them up at work but I'll post the link later today.

It is just a random pile of parts at this point so I have not taken any.

I did get my Midway order in today though, wow that was fast!!! I didn't know that the Magpul trigger guard came with all that is needed to install it so I wasted $3.60 on parts I won't need for that, but oh well. I also somehow missed the bolt catch spring on my list of needed small parts so looks like I may be ordering again soon.

Ordered a couple more parts from Midway USA, I REALLY like this site!!!

I ordered my forgotten bolt catch spring, my chrome magazine release, and a couple more mags. I was going to order the chrome magazine release button too, but it was going to be a back ordered item so I am going to wait. Trying to keep the backordered items to a minimum so I don't have 343323223 different shipping charges. I will update my list when they arrive.
