I just returned from Memphis TN. and Tunica MS. and trust me a vast majority voted for him just because he was black.
I was warned to be very careful of approaching this subject as a conservative.
I was speaking to a group of men there at the range in TN. and was amazed at the lack of common sense when it came to voting for a leader of this country.
No one I spoke with knew this country was a republic and had no idea what a republic was. They thought we live in a democracy.
After explaining the difference between the two I was told I was an idiot and didn't know what I was talking about.
I got the same response in MS.
Before this trip I was concerned with the American public and their lack of knowledge and understanding; now I am plain scared.
Marry the White Guilt / Wealth Guilt / Social Guilt crowd with the Blame America / America is a Downright Mean Country / America is Evil Crowd, in the Church of Political Correctness, and we have this mess.
I'm not sure what people are trying to prove. Uh, I voted for, supported, and covered up for, a black guy, so that proves I'm not a caveman?
I don't know how old it is, but y'all realize that was Illinois State Senate, not US Senate? So that's a long time ago. And it's SIllinoise.
During the election I went to see what his US Senate record was because it seemed he'd shirked his responsibility quite a bit. Turned out, while his numbers were much lower, he had a similar voting record as McCain had due to campaigning. So it wasn't even as bad as it was being said it was and I believed it was.
