I am looking for one of these quick disconnect keychains in black, either online or local. I would paint this one if I didn't think it'd wear off and/or impede use of the keychain.

The chrome plated ones are brass underneath.
I'm not sure what coating would hold up.

If anyone finds one that does what I need, I'll buy two and mail you one. It doesn't have to be the exact keychain I depicted, but it needs to (1) be one hand release and (2) not ever snag on things or release on its own.

Number 2 was the problem with that little guy from Amazon.

Already found that. It's a piece of crap plastic. The one review says it pulls apart on its own.

Or if you want it THAT bad ...

Yeah, me and 60 of my closest friends. Thanks for trying though.

If you cant find the one you're looking for, paint the silver one with cheap black spray paint. Worst case is you may have to repaint in a month or so.

I might go this route if I have to. Worst case though, is not the re-painting. Worst case it that the paint gums up the keychain and renders it unusable.

Good news is that the brass ones are only a couple bucks at Home Depot.
