What is out that way to hunt?

I have always wanted to try rattle snake, but I think hunting those once will suffice.....considering the whole proximity needed for rock flipping and such.

Is there any Medium to Large Game worth hunting out there....that may be a dumb question, there has to be something.

Mule deer, proghorn antelope, javelina, and a ton of different birds.

Those pronghorn can see into tomorrow. And then haul butt! LMAO

You better be a crack long distance shot if you go after those critters.

I am looking at 10 Acres on the West Flank of the Quitman Moutains. South of Sierra Blanca. I know I know, there is nothing there, you cant do anything with the land..ETC,ETC. I want the land to camp on and build a small cabin. Not to live on and not to farm....I am concerned with the slope....how steep are they?

I have a 106 acre ranch in the valley between the quitman and eagle mountains. you can do alot with it. it's great for goat ranching. our property is kind of an exception in that it has 4 power poles running through it but I know lots of people who have no problem living completely off grid. the valley is above the red light draw aquifer and the state conservation program will pay for 75% of a livestock well. they also pay for an orchard and pole barn. but the property has to be completely fenced first to qualify but the usda in hudspeth county gives loans for that.

Haven't read all the posts, but a 400' water well isn't daunting.

    Mine is right at 500'.

    So, what's the big deal?

    Getting the drillers out there?
