Thought I would ask the question here too, while trying to decipher the AR-15 forum.
Just wondering if anyone has tried the www.80-lower.com in "AR-10". I've built a couple of their AR-15 lowers and the system seems to be as fool proof as something like this can be.
The concern is with "AR-10"; my understanding is there is not an industry standard like with the AR-15 and every manufacturer (mfg) does a little something different (has to do with the AR-10 name still being proprietary). Are there generally concerns with internal parts like hammer, springs, triggers, upper receivers, etc. being compatible with third party lowers? I would like to build an "AR-10" style but am apprehensive over the level of caveat emtpor associated with them. Too, I don't really want to be locked in with only one mfg for parts.
Thanks
