Anyone excited about this new indoor range?

I read somewhere that they had a July or fall start date, but haven't heard much.

Anyone join here join as a member yet?

I don't see any prior threads about The Range at Austin.

The one down near South I-35 and William Cannon? I heard it was going to be crazy expensive but that was a while back. Haven't heard anything about it recently. In fact, I'd forgotten about it until this post.

I'm definitely interested. It'll be great to have another local option. Also, with them hiring Jeff Gonzales (Trident Concepts) as the Director of Training (I think that was the title), I'm guessing they'll probably cater well to good quality training classes.

There was a thread on it awhile back. I think I remember someone saying membership costs $250 per month... Is that accurate?

Those prices make the business model work. With the decline of the middle class, a common strategy to achieve profitability is to unabashedly and exclusively cater to the high-net-worth crowd by being very high priced.

...or a very dedicated upper middle class person. I could afford it if it was the only hobby I had, but how boring would that be. I wouldn't be able to afford a Yeti cup if I had that club membership!

At those prices, I don't see that place lasting long. There's just too many cheaper places to go around here.

It will evolve into another Dollar General in short order.

Rich liberal elitists... You know, the kind that think shooting guns for sport is ok for them, just as long as the dirty masses can't have them.

I bet they start having "day memberships" as well. What with all the wealthy foreigners in town for the races.

While I agree, I will note in Houston and IIRC Dallas, they both have high end indoor pistol ranges (Athena in Houston). This one appears to be quite over the top though, which is very Texan.
