Range in San Angelo

So i went out to the range here in san angelo this past weekend... haven't been out in a while. evidently they're cutting out a 1000 yd range for the big boys?!?! lots of land being cleared. anyone in the san angelo area know the scoop?

water valley fire department did one about a year ago for 1,000 yards. i shot there a few weeks ago.
