Man, this place is a pool of obscure knowledge. Sometimes I just love TGT.

No offense, but if this isn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is.

I thought you were the resident expert on obscure knowledge here.:)

...the pot calling the kettle black...
Thank you very much for the compliment. However, in case it isn't already abundantly clear, you should know that my knowledge and experience are both a mile wide and an inch deep. That's true of my avocations; it's incredibly true of my 3 decades working for the federal government. That approach to everything in life has served me well. It must; that's just the way my brain is wired.

But what I love about TGT is the way folks have such knowledge in depth. If I wanted to build an AR or get into the NFA world (two things I know next to nothing about), there would be folks here who could guide me every step of the way, in the kind of excruciatingly fine detail and incredible depth that requires the sort of dedication and hard work I could never muster on my own.

I think that's very, very neat.

Well said Ben, but I believe your experiences are more that just a mere mile wide. Especially when compared to the rest of us.

I definitely know the inch deep! After 22 years in the Corps and now several years in law enforcement sometimes I don't know which way is up or down! LOL!
