Texas A&M Aggies Teach a Florida Gator a Lesson in Culture

Business leaders often struggle to define corporate culture. The right culture is elusive and fragile, and if it’s not a carefully protected part of what you’re about every day you can lose it. This weekend I got a lesson in organizational culture I’ll never forget. I went to my first football game at Texas A&M University.

    These guys get it.

    Hey Hippie:

    Nice post!

Looks like your post is starting to draw out the "t-shirt" fans whose grades and SAT scores kept them out of t.u. and tceh.

Had they read the link (which they probably did not), their reading comprehension would be so poor they could not recognize praise of high culture.

'Ol Sully would chuckle if he could read their posts.

Yeah. As a rival I have felt years of how "they get it". My suggestion is wait around and you'll see what's missing.

    First and foremost it's class.

While I'm usually quick to throw an Aggie joke out there, I am proud of my fellow Texans who are Aggies for their behavior at that game.
It would be nice if every game on every campus was conducted this way: Welcome your guests, play to win!, and afterwards - regardless of who the victor was - handshakes all around, sincere "good game" comments, etc.

Maybe I'm just a bit of an idealist.
