    Anyone have this happen?

I received my approved Paper Form 1 yesterday (90 days from check cashed, to approved) but there was no stamp attached to the form. It didn't fall off in the envelope or anything, the form looks like one was never even put on there.

Is the approval valid without the stamp? I'll try and call the NFA branch tomorrow to see what they say.

Never seen that. All my F1's were electronic & still had a stamp image in the appropriate place.

All my paper forms have a stamp. The newest one was from Jan 2018 so not sure if they change something.

I think it's legit as far as proceeding to make your item but I would call ASAP.

It's been years since I've done any NFA stuff, but all my past forms are paper, with a stamp as well.

I'll give them a call and see whats up. I know if you lose your form, they will send a certified copy, but this is a first for me.

Next one will be e file anyways. But I wonder how a LEO would treat the form without the stamp.

An odd event but as long as anything from the atf has an approval and signature without any stipulations in the approval box, the stamp is a feel good thing. It would take a real stickler cop to give you a hard time about it. I have heard of this before. Rare but you’re not the first.

Agreed, have heard of this happening before.

Simple oversight, but recommend calling/emailing them as soon as possible to get resolved.

Technically it is not valid without a stamp. Call and they will make arrangements to get a stamp on it.

I sent it back to them today to get fixed. Hopefully it only rakes a couple of weeks.
Did you ask to talk to a specialist? The people that answer the phone number when you first call aren’t the greatest. In the future ask for a specialist or I can tell you who I prefer and she’s fast.

I probably should have talked to the examiner that approved it, but the guy I talked to said just send it back to the NFA branch. Hopefully it won't sit in a pile of forms for a while. Or bounce from desk to desk.
