After fighting for a couple of years on CA on so many issues, I finally decided to go over the wire and head out to a free state. I've been in San Antonio (and Texas as a whole) for less than a week so far.

I'm so happy that my AK has its pistol grip back. :D

Thanks for the welcome, guys (and gals, if any :p)!

    Welcome to Texas!
    Which part of CA?

Bay Area. I worked in San Francisco for the past three years, lived in the Bay Area for 7 or 8.

Are yall here for the harvest?

I'm here to fix cars, enjoy the lower cost of living and the freedom.

I can't tell you how happy I am to find a Texas gun site like this! I've been a member over at calguns.net for a while now, and I've seen the kind of results they've had. Sites like this have a lot of potential for the fight for our rights.

I grew up in southern Ca. In the San Fernando Valley. Left at the age of 18 ('73). Spent much of last year in the Lancaster area. Mom's health failed. Its really sad to see what a socialist state it has become. Everything is illegal, and everywhere are signs posted to call and turn in your neighbors. Most of the people are so busy thinking they are so cool and hip to the world they don't seem to notice they live in a police state.
When I was a kid I believed there was LA and NY and some stupid hicks in between. A hitch in the Air Force cured me of that notion.
Truly I say Welcome to Texas.
