So I was wondering if anybody can recommend a 9mm flat nose round.

    What is the purpose?

I ask because most guns are designed for a round nose bullet in 9mm.

And is this reloading bullets, range ammo, or something for self defense?

I believe Winchestwr makes one. A "train and defense" round. It costs nearly as much as HP rounds though. Can't really see a justification for it.
If you are reloading, you should be able to get .380 bullets with a flat nose. Most manufacturers will have load data for 90 to 100 gfn.
But be warned. Most 9mm pistols were not designed for flat nose and they may not feed well. Round nose and HP designed for 9mm would work better.

I was just curious as an outdoor round for camping in case I run into any aggressive squirrels. Lol. I know 9mm isn't an outdoors kind of gun. So i was just curious. However, I did not know 9mm were not designed for flat nose bullets. This answers as to why nothing but round nose and hp rounds. Thanks again, guys.

I definitely wanna get into reloading, just not in the budget right now. My wife's uncle in El Paso, however, pretty much has his own fall out shelter. Tons of ammo and guns. Lol

I usually only see the flat nose in a 147g. That being said, they work quite well in my suppressed HK-94 clones. These rounds are totally trouble free for me. My MPX does not like them, it prefers a hotter round like 124g NATO ammo.
    YMMV.

Berry's Bullets make flat-nosed plated 9 mm bullets.

I don't buy them for the shape, but they are very inexpensive, and make for good range fodder.

    Be well.
