Was given a well used Noble single shot boys rifle in .22 LR some time back. The metal was in pretty sad shape, not much finish, and a fair amount of rust. Fortunately, the chamber/bore were in good shape. This rifle was bult pre-GCA '68, when many manufacurers didn't even bother serializing cheaper guns.
This is what it look like now. Stripped and refinished the stock with BLO, barrel and receiver were rust blued. It is a pretty decent shooter, and will eventually go to a grandkid, I suppose.
